Implementation of the Kazan Action Plan in Africa : the experts meeting was officially opened

Experts from more than 30 countries in Africa are meeting in Asia and Africa Hotel Ivato Antananarivo from 10 to 11 September 2019. The Conference was officially opened this morning. In fact, Mr Michel Lovatiako Ralaivao, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Madagascar, highlighted that Quality Physical Education (QPE) is important as far as the General Policy of the Malagasy government is concerned. Madagascar is honoured to organize and host the Regional Conference. The host country is fuly engaged in order to become one of the pioneers in quality education physics.
Furthermore, Ms Cissé Mohamed Mariamma, Director of Social Affairs in the African Union, emphasized on the links among the Kazan Action Plan, the Agenda 2063 of the African Union and the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
Moreover, Ms Angela Melo, Director of Programmes and Policies in the UNESCO, focused on developing partnerships among the different stakeholders in the field of quality education sports and basing the different activities in local and national good practices. During two days, these African experts will exchange and discuss in the workshop so as to get positive impacts in terms of the implementation of the Kazan Action Plan in their continent. This meeting will be followed by the African Ministers Conference in the Ivato Antananarivo International Conference.
